Steve Jobs reappeared in public after months of absence

Apple CEO Steve Jobs, who has not appeared in public since October 2008, was hailed Wednesday in San Francisco at a conference of the company, returning after having undergone a liver transplant.

The businessman, 54, struck by her presence for the audience that filled the room and received standing at the event. "I am very happy to be here with you today," said Jobs.

"About five months ago I underwent a liver transplant," he said. "Now I have the liver of a veiteaƱero who died in a traffic accident and was generous enough to donate their organs," he noted.

8GB iPod Touch now costs $ 189, $ 40 less than the previous price, while the 16 GB iPod Nano dropped from 199 to $ 149.
