Microsoft Macintosh introduced a new version of Office for Mac 2011 which, he said, improving the tools to work together and offers greater compatibility.
In a presentation to the meeting Macworld 2010 in San Francisco, Erick Wilfrid, general manager of Microsoft Macintosh, said the series has new service connections to Microsoft to work together more effectively and a user interface that simplifies the tasks.
In addition, compatibility ensures that, when shared, the documents look like when created.
"Working together across multiple platforms is a priority and that is why we are making Office for Mac 2011, the best and most compatible productivity suite available in Mac," he said.
Wilfrid said the new tools in Office 2011 can also work in Word, PowerPoint or Excel2, generate ideas and stay on the same page regardless of time, geography or platform.
"Improving the process of working together, eliminating the frustration of having lost multiple versions and editions," he said.
Office 2011 also offers a connection to Microsoft Office Web Apps from the application, giving them a simple way to access and share Office documents from any machine with an Internet connection.
