Japanese company releases robot that listens to people

FujiSoft The Japanese company in Tokyo introduced its latest robot named Palro, a small humanoid whose specialty is communication with people around you.

This is a test model for researchers, engineers and students.

Palro The name is a blend of the words "Pal" (friend, in English) and "Robot". It has an integrated camera, microphone, speakers and several LED lights, plus an Intel Atom 1.6 GHz

The robot weighs 1.6 kilograms (3.5 pounds), measures 39.8 inches high (15.6 inches) and cost about $ 3.00 when it becomes available in March for household and academy.
