Saudi Arabia is testing a proposal to resolve what it considers a threat to national security in the smart phone. His government on Friday threatened to cut the BlackBerry messaging feature for users, but so far has allowed the service is maintained.
Saudi Officials with RIM said they are conducting tests on three servers in the kingdom, in a bid to resolve the dispute over the popular messaging service firm.
The United Arab Emirates proposed a veto which will depart on October 11 and will affect the BlackBerry messaging, plus email and Internet browsing.
The Canadian manufacturer has been under scrutiny from other countries such as India, Lebanon and Algeria, due to difficult access to company network, which according to several government could complicate the monitoring of threats to national security.
