German chip maker Infineon Technologies AG will sell a unit that makes products for wireless phones to the U.S. company Intel Corp. in a deal of 1,400 million dollars in cash,Intel acquires Infineon's wireless the companies said Monday.
Infineon said the sale of its wireless solutions, or WLS, we will focus on its core business divisions are automotive, industrial, and safety circuit boards. Intel said the acquisition to indefineon wireless will strengthen its presence in Internet connectivity.
