Microsoft says the technology will be key to recovery

Despite a limited job market in the world, the field of Information Technology (IT) is key to economic recovery in Latin America, considered a study of Microsoft and the global research firm International Data Corporation (IDC) released monday.
The booming IT market will create nearly 6,000 new businesses and 697,000 new jobs in Latin America between late 2009 and late 2013, according to the study.
He said most of the new companies will include local businesses and small, while jobs are specialized, high quality work.
In the region highlights the impact of technology, "helping to reduce unemployment rates and serving as a stimulant for economic growth with the creation of 6,000 new companies," said Hernán Rincón, president at Microsoft, said in a statement press.
According to a breakdown of the figures for Latin America, Microsoft said that three million jobs in IT in the region, 53% are related to that company, are part of the "Microsoft ecosystem of partners" or are professionals working with programs Microsoft or products and services based on their platforms.
The "Microsoft partner ecosystem" defines local companies that develop and / or sell products that work with Microsoft or programs that distribute Microsoft software.
