The new mini N97 mobile phone will allow users to publish their 'status' in the social network from the home screen. The manufacturer puts a price on their first mini laptop
Gone are the summer sales. Nokia unveiled on Wednesday its launch star to the autumn-winter. These include the N97 that comes with a mini set up with Facebook. Those who buy this new phone can update the status and position within the social network through the home screen of your mobile. The short version of the N97, equipped with a 3.2-inch touch screen with virtual keyboard, will go on sale in October for 450 euros.
The Finnish company has also reported from Stuttgart, which holds its annual Nokia World event, the arrival of two new models: the X3 and X6. The first, according to Nokia, is designed for a younger audience and will cost less, about 115 euros. The X6, touch screen, 32 gigabytes of memory and can reproduce up to 35 hours of music, be around 450 euros.
At the same event, the company also officially unveiled a week ago, gave an advance-its real bet for this fall, the mini notebook 3G Booklet. Nokia unveils new phone models and subnotebook
Nokia the world's largest maker of mobile phones, unveiled new models that include more features and better musical compatibility with Facebook and the new subnotebook, or netbook, the Finnish company.
The announcement is part of Nokia's campaign to expand into new markets such as wireless services online.
"We're on the defensive or offensive," said Nokia executive vice president Anssi Vanjoki Nokia World09 exposure in two days in Germany.
It said it reached an agreement with Facebook, the popular social networking page, allowing users to update some of their phones and their location directly on the page provided by Nokia's Ovi account.
That capability will be included in the new mini N97 also presented on Wednesday which will sell for 450 euros ($ 645) without contract when the market starts in October.
Nokia unveiled new devices in its exhibit, including his new laptop, Nokia Booklet 3G to be sold in the last quarter of 2009 with operating system Windows 7.
The aluminum laptop has a screen measuring 25 cm (10 inches) and weighs 1.3 kilos (2.8 pounds). That puts it in the subnotebook category of manufacturers who have pioneered Taiwanese Asustek Computer Inc.
But unlike most subnotebooks, the Booklet of Nokia will have a chip with a connected GPS navigation Nokia Maps program and an aluminum foil instead of the typical plastic.
